I decided to take this sketch exercise a step further and made some morph targets in zbrush, a very simple rig and this animation inside Unreal Engine 5 using Sequencer.
The longest task was trying to figure out why Render Queue didn't render the shadows of the skeletal mesh... "Compute Skin Cache" (in project settings) was the solution.
